I am a London-based freelance photographer specialising in natural and available light portrait and reportage photography of people in their work environments and capturing the aesthetics of architecture.

Having spent many years as a graphic designer, it was a natural progression to move into photography. This gave me a comprehensive understanding of how photography worked as part of the overall marketing and branding process and coupled with photographic art direction skills honed during many years as a graphic designer has given me a unique selling point to clients.

I have worked on a diverse range of projects including photography commissions for The Charity Commission, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Shell Oil, The City Showcase, Porsche Byfeet, ABS London, The Digital Garden, Fabrik Brands, Henrik Frederiksen, Friends of Brighton and Hove Hospitals and contemporary musicians including Shri, Jam on Sunday and Tripswitch.

If you would like further information or would like to discuss a potential project do not hesitate to get in touch.

On a personal level I am a highly skilled and passionate street photographer and my work has been featured in a number of magazines, including the official Fujifilm X magazine and have exhibited images throughout the UK and Europe. I have also produced a number of self-published photography books and magazines.

"I have had the pleasure working with Kant Rathod in the context af making a cover photo for my new book.

He is indeed the best photographer I have ever worked with and I worked with many. Kant already made a superb cover for my 9th novel and that was widely recognised as the best so far. I consider the one he made this time even better.

As one of Denmark's best selling authors my books are widely distributed and the cover is of the highest importance.

Beside being a great photographer Kant is also a pleasure to work with. The creative process and the ability to work together in the best fashion is paramount when i comes to getting the best result.

Therefore … Kant Rathod comes with the highest recommendations from me."
Henrik, Danish author

"I’ve recently worked with Kant on a rather challenging brief and his commitment and results were excellent. He captured the personality and mood perfectly and brought the series to life. Would definitely recommend."
Clinton, Creative Director

"Kant took particular care to understand the actual requirements of my client, project and budget. With excellent people skills, Kant put everyone at ease, working in a professional and orderly manner in less than perfect conditions. I have no hesitation in recommending him and his work in the future."
Andrew, wayfinding & Information designer

"I've worked with Kant both in his capacity as photographer and freelance designer numerous times over the past few years. Most recently on a shoots in the UK and US, Kant was a fantastic partner to work with. His attention to detail, creativity and experience make him extremely easy to work with. His ability to understand the brief, add value and deliver great results mean I would have no hesitation in commissioning Kant for further projects or recommending him both as a photographer and designer."
Mark, Creative Director

"Friends of Brighton & Hove Hospitals commissioned Kant Rathod to take some photographs to illustrate our work donating equipment to NHS service providers across the City. We wanted a photographer who could work quickly, capturing people and equipment in a variety of indoor environments. We did not have any special lighting or time available to structure the photographs; they had to be a ‘snapshot’ illustrating the work that we do and the people we work with. Kant was able to fulfil this brief magnificently. He created a good rapport with the various people he met during the photoshoot and captured the variety of our work well. I would recommend him and be delighted to work with him in the future."
Friends of Brighton & Hove Hospitals

"Kant is a great photographer that I have recently used for a web project for the Charity Commission."
